As a Senior Python Engineer at Runwise, you will help design, test, and implement the core software embedded in our controls in 7500+ buildings. You will have the opportunity to help a variety of property companies effectively run their heating, cooling, electric, and water systems more efficiently. Responsibilities include contributing to our Python application, writing multithreaded Python code, and processing billions of data points per year.

As an early member of our AI Decisioning team, you’ll play an essential role in shaping and scaling our machine learning platform, working closely with the CTO and product teams to architect robust, highly performant systems that empower growth teams to automate decision-making. You will design and build scalable backend systems and ML infrastructure, and develop AI-driven features.

You’ll work at the intersection of conventional software engineering and machine learning, focusing on applying AI to solve real-world problems. You'll own critical parts of their AI-powered data platform by designing and implementing robust backend services that integrate with various AI models for data understanding and transformation. This role involves building fault-tolerant systems and creating streaming architectures for real-time AI processing of customer data.
