This role combines clear, high-quality technical writing with content architecture, navigation design, and a deep understanding of user personas. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, designers, and customer-facing teams to create documentation that is easy to find, use, and isl precisely tailored to the needs of different audiences—including developers, system administrators, business users, and technical support teams.

As a Technical Writing Manager at GitLab, you will be responsible for managing a team of globally distributed Technical Writers. Each of these Technical Writers is embedded with cross-functional stage group teams. You and your team will do impactful work, being seen by millions of our users around the world.

We are looking for a Technical Writer who’s passionate about developer experience and documentation excellence, will adopt a docs-as-code approach, building tools and processes that integrate documentation seamlessly into our development workflows, and work closely with engineers, designers, and product teams.
