Contracts Attorney (B2B SaaS)

Role Focus:

• Own the entire contracting lifecycle for customer, partner, and government agreements, focusing on drafting, negotiating, and closing high-impact deals with speed and precision.
• Partner closely with Sales, RevOps, and Finance to streamline deal processes, ensuring contracts move efficiently while adhering to established risk standards and business objectives.
• Serve as the central expert for all contract-related matters, balancing commercial pragmatism with a strong command of legal terms to protect the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including enterprise SaaS contracts, NDAs, DPAs, and procurement-driven terms for large enterprises and public-sector clients.
• Identify and articulate key risk areas in contracts, such as liability, indemnification, and data security obligations, and provide targeted support for government compliance requirements.
• Implement process improvements, tooling, and automation to scale contracting efficiency, tracking metrics like cycle time and deviation from standard terms.

Qualifications and Culture:

• JD from an accredited law school with active U.S. bar membership and 5+ years of focused commercial contracting experience, ideally in SaaS or technology environments.
• Proven ability to manage high deal volume independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to enabling deals.
