Legal Counsel Canada Corporate Operations

Legal Counsel at Achievers provides general legal support across the business on a wide range of legal matters, with a particular focus on commercial legal matters in support of the Revenue team, and assists in the execution of legal strategies as directed. Legal Counsel engages in a variety of commercial transactional matters in support of Achievers’ core business that provides a cloud-based employee recognition and rewards solution to accelerate employee engagement for our customers. This role demands a strong background in commercial and contract law, coupled with excellent analytical and communication skills, and business acumen, to ensure the company navigates complex legal landscapes effectively. Responsibilities include contract review and negotiation of customer agreements, contract repository management, legal research on emerging issues, negotiation of customer deals, and RFP and documentation support. Template and helpdesk management are also key components of the role. The position requires 5+ years of experience, a J.D. or LL.B. degree, and active bar membership. Experience with SaaS agreements is preferred, and excellent communication skills are essential.
