Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze product content requirements, including model laws and state laws, to support Uniform Standards development.
  • Provide legal guidance on rulemaking activities and product review operations.
  • Track and analyze impact of federal and state legislative changes affecting the Compact.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
  • 5-10 years of legal or regulatory experience in the insurance or financial sector.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with insurance product compliance or familiarity with interstate compacts.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools such as Westlaw, Lexis/Nexis, and Microsoft Office products.

Travel and Sponsorship:

  • Regular overnight travel required for member meetings and events.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship available.
