Overview:

  • The Fulcrum Foundation seeks an intern to support its state regulatory and permitting reform work.
  • The intern will work directly with the Policy Director and Legal Director as well as other management team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Research state statutes, regulations, and guidance documents to analyze regulatory reform initiatives.
  • Verify legal citations, review draft materials, and provide suggested edits for accuracy and readability.
  • Test AI tools and build simple AI-powered applications to support regulatory analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Current law or public policy student, recent graduate, or prior experience working with statutes and legal materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort experimenting with new software tools.
  • No programming background required; experience with AI tools or low-code platforms is a plus.

Compensation:

  • Part-time participants receive a $5,500 stipend for approximately 24 hours per week.
  • Full-time participants receive a $7,500 stipend for approximately 32 hours per week.
