About the role:

  • Location: Remote-first (United States; BC & ON, Canada), full-time, permanent.
  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering.
  • Cash compensation tailored to geographic market, with base pay ranges from $140,000 to $190,000 USD (or CAD equivalent) plus bonus eligibility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Empower engineers on other teams to take control of their services by maintaining monitoring tooling and collaborating on internal best practices for observability.
  • Enhance reliability of applications running in Kubernetes by optimizing resource allocation, streamlining upgrade processes, and ensuring scalability and fault tolerance.
  • Occasionally dive into the main Webflow application in Node, Python, or Go to better discern and fix behavior in production.

What you'll bring:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; 2+ years operating or debugging distributed systems in production.
  • Comfortable with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP) and hands-on experience with Kubernetes workloads.
  • Experience with observability stacks (e.g., Datadog, OpenTelemetry) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible).
