Job Description

The Team Lead, Payroll Operations will be responsible for overseeing a dynamic team that ensures the smooth and accurate processing of payroll for Deel's global workforce. You will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day payroll functions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and delivering timely, error-free payroll for employees in multiple countries. Working closely with HR, finance, and cross-functional teams, you will drive process improvements, troubleshoot payroll issues, and lead the execution of operational strategies to support Deel’s rapid growth. Responsibilities include leading a team of payroll specialists, collaborating with HR and Finance to ensure alignment, developing and implementing payroll policies, monitoring payroll data for improvements, and serving as a subject matter expert. This also includes maintaining relationships with external payroll vendors, managing the performance and development of the payroll team, and providing training on payroll-related matters.
