Job Description

The Patient Relations Specialist will interact with patients/caregivers via telephone, in writing, and in person/virtually. They will Triage, identify, and resolve patient/caregiver complaints and grievances, while meeting regulatory requirements and time frames, appropriately documenting feedback in the incident management database and generating reports.

They will de-escalate highly emotional and/or challenging situations. The specialist will empathetically and tactfully review patient/caregiver feedback with staff, managers, and providers, evaluating staff actions and identifying when additional training/support is appropriate. They will also identify, monitor, and analyze trends in patient/caregiver feedback and develop and deliver patient relations-related education, outreach and reports.
