Job Summary:

  • Provide oversight of coding teams, holding them accountable to enterprise KPIs including DNFC.
  • Act as subject matter expert in ICD coding, reimbursement, and compliance.
  • Develop performance improvement plans as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to ethical coding standards as established by AAPC and/or AHIMA.
  • Actively monitor daily DNFC and coding work queues to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Troubleshoot computer issues timely while working remotely.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in HIM or related field with 4-6 years of experience.
  • 5 years of recent management of hospital-based coding teams.
  • Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) preferred.
