The Role:
- Work with the National Prison Project team on prison reform litigation and advocacy.
- Gain experience in creating change through civil rights work.
The Team:
- The National Prison Project ensures prison, jail, and detention conditions comply with the Constitution and human rights principles.
- The project has litigated in more than 25 states and focuses on reducing overcrowding and challenging solitary confinement.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with advocacy materials, research, and legislative movement tracking.
- Support attorneys with campaign and litigation tasks.
Logistics:
- Remote or hybrid based in Washington D.C.; must be based in the U.S. during the internship.
- Part-time or full-time for 12 weeks starting January 11 or January 25; course credit only.
