About the Role:
- The ACLU seeks a Spring Legal Intern in the Racial Justice Program for its National office in New York, NY.
- This internship is for course credit only and requires applicants to be current law students based in the U.S.
The Team:
- The Racial Justice Program challenges racial discrimination and practices impacting communities of color.
- It emphasizes health equity, education, housing, Indigenous justice, reentry, and economic justice issues.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct legal and factual research and support ongoing litigation, investigations, and advocacy.
- Review and code discovery productions, and produce memos, research reports, and drafts.
What You'll Bring:
- Excellent research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to public interest law, civil liberties, and racial justice.
