Role Overview:
- Serve as a senior individual contributor on the Legal, Risk and Compliance team, advising on complex legal and compliance matters.
- Focus on employment and labor law, collective bargaining agreement obligations, investigations, and litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on nonprofit and corporate matters, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct and advise on workplace investigations, interpret the CBA, and handle employee-related disputes.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and lead cross-departmental legal initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor and active California law license or eligibility for registered in-house counsel admission.
- At least 8-10 years of legal experience, including nonprofit representation and employment/labor matters.
- Strong judgment, communication skills, and commitment to Tides' mission and JEDI principles.
