Senior Staff Software Developer - FinOps Cloud Development Platform

Team:

• Join the Global Cloud Services organization's FinOps Tools team, building ServiceNow's next-generation analytics and financial governance platform.
• Own the full modern data stack: Trino, dbt, Iceberg, Lightdash, and Argo Workflows.
• Be the founding engineer dedicated to building the Cloud Development Platform.

Role:

• Design, architect, and rapidly implement a platform built on VS Code, Coder, and Jupyter.
• Establish automated pathways from notebook experimentation to production pipelines.
• Move at startup speed within an enterprise environment.

Technical Leadership & Architecture:

• Design the foundational cloud development platform for notebook-based data workflows.
• Lead technical decision-making on workspace provisioning and developer experience.
• Drive innovation in data development platforms, leveraging AI/ML tools.

Hands-On Development:

• Build and customize cloud workspace infrastructure using Coder on Kubernetes.
• Develop VS Code extensions (TypeScript) for productionization workflows.
• Implement notebook templates and validation rules for production-ready data pipelines.
