Job Description
Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a Director of Sales to lead revenue growth, market expansion, and product adoption across the Americas region (U.S. and Canada). This role is responsible for scaling the business, delivering agile, high-quality solutions, and establishing long-term client partnerships. Reporting to the SVP of Sales and Marketing, the Director will oversee a team of 9, serving as a player-coach to Business Development Managers, Inside Sales, and Field Application Scientists. The position will translate market insights from direct client interactions into strategic opportunities, drive regional sales execution, and foster high-impact relationships with key customers and KOLs. Success will be measured by increased revenue, expanded product adoption, strategic project execution, and team development. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team to exceed revenue targets and drive regional growth. Own and execute territory-level strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Build and nurture strategic relationships with stakeholders in biomanufacturing, R&D, and diagnostics across the region. Navigate complex commercial agreements, including Material Supply Agreements, IP licensing, and contract negotiations. Champion the Voice of Customer (VOC) to inform marketing strategies, product development, and sales enablement initiatives.
