Key Responsibilities:
- Manage prescription refill requests by authorizing renewals based on approved protocols, reducing provider workload.
- Communicate with patients and pharmacies to update refill status and screen calls professionally.
- Document all information in the EHR and escalate unresolved issues to supervisors.
Job Requirements:
- One year experience in a non-acute care licensed pharmacy.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician program.
- Clear and current CA Pharmacy Tech license.
Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of legend drugs and medical terminology.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated with minimal supervision and strong advocacy for patients.
