Sr Staff Software Engineer (Distributed Systems | Data Ingestion | Storage | Analytics)

About the role:

• HLA is ServiceNow's log analytics data platform for AIOps, ingesting and storing operational logs at high volume.
• The work spans ingestion, routing, durable storage, and cost-aware query for large enterprise customers.

What you'll do:

• Shape the HLA roadmap and set architecture direction across ingest, storage, and query.
• Work directly with customers and mentor senior engineers to raise the technical bar.
• Lead deep design reviews and drive reliability, efficiency, and AI adoption with evidence.

Qualifications:

• 12+ years building production distributed systems with substantial data platform ownership.
• Deep expertise in data ingestion, storage, and query, with fluency in Go, Java, Scala, Rust, or Python.
• Experience with Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, and a record of influencing teams you don't own.
