Job Description
The VMware Support Engineer (NSX) is a fully remote role for candidates based in Ireland or the UK, providing support for critical customer issues with occasional after-hours work. The engineer must possess excellent customer service and communication skills, along with a passion for resolving software problems. The role involves troubleshooting customer issues via remote connections, collaborating within a global team to ensure continuous support, and driving customer satisfaction by managing issues from inception to resolution.
The engineer will provide root cause analysis when needed, create knowledge articles, and work with internal stakeholders to enhance customer experience. They will promote best practices and new methodologies to improve support processes. Key requirements include at least 5 years of experience with VMware core technologies, knowledge of NSX-T architecture, and proficiency in Linux/UNIX, networking, and packet capture using Wireshark.
