Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate medical codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services to ensure accuracy and compliance with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Provide expert coding guidance to clinicians and departments, serving as a resource for complex coding questions.
- Conduct coding audits, generate productivity reports, and collaborate with IT and billing teams to resolve system issues.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related field preferred.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent certification required.
- 3-5 years of progressive medical coding experience, preferably in home health or hospice settings.
