Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Outpatient Coding work queues and unbilled accounts to support timely filing and claims submission.
  • Review patient medical records to assign and sequence codes according to industry-standard coding guidelines.
  • Work closely with providers to clarify documentation and ensure coding accuracy based on organizational policy.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health information management preferred.
  • Active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of medical coding experience in an outpatient or specialty setting.
