Responsibilities:

  • Code outpatient surgical and observation records with 95% or above accuracy.
  • Assign correct CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and DRG codes.
  • Monitor compliance with CMS and Oregon Medical Assistance program guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of coding experience.
  • Certification from AAPC or AHIMA (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC).
  • Active AAPC membership required.
