Upstream Rehabilitation is seeking a Remote Patient Account Specialist to join the team. This role involves handling incoming calls for patients and requires passionate and energetic individuals who are great listeners and can multitask while creating a safe and courteous experience. The Patient Account Specialist will support billing, insurance, and other inquiries from patients. Responsibilities include receiving inbound calls, assisting with billing questions, sending issues to the AR Team, taking payments, and setting payment plans. The specialist communicates effectively to resolve billing issues, builds rapport by being courteous and friendly, and maintains professional relationships. They also review accounts with outstanding or incorrect balances, solving any issues in a timely manner. The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent experience. Call Center and/or medical billing experience is a plus. Exceptional communication skills, active listening, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask are essential. The specialist must be self-motivated and have a quiet, HIPAA compliant area with no distractions.
