Head of Alliances and Partnerships (REMOTE) North America

As the Head of Partnerships & Alliances you will define and execute Upbound’s ecosystem and alliance strategy. This senior individual contributor role operates at the intersection of open source ecosystem development and commercial go-to-market execution. You will build and scale relationships that expand the reach of Crossplane. The ideal candidate will thrive in environments where open source credibility and business impact go hand in hand. You’re comfortable operating across technical and commercial contexts, equally fluent in conversations with maintainers and hyperscaler executives. You will build strategic relationships within the Crossplane ecosystem, supporting co-marketing, education, and joint initiatives. The role will identify, negotiate, and grow partnerships with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), ISVs, and SIs; develop joint GTM strategies; architect and execute partner-led GTM motions; design and operationalize a scalable partner program; collaborate with product and engineering leadership; and represent Upbound and Crossplane at industry events.
