Lead and support teams:

  • Guide coding operations, including workflow, staffing, workload distribution, and capacity planning for assigned areas.
  • Coach and develop Coding Specialists and coding support staff while building a culture of accountability, teamwork, learning, and respect.
  • Partner with other coding leaders on daily operations, staffing needs, productivity, quality, and department priorities.

Improve coding quality, education, and compliance:

  • Work with the Coder Auditor/Trainer team to strengthen coding education, audit programs, quality assurance, and compliance.
  • Use audit results, coding trends, denials, productivity data, and regulatory changes to identify where teams need additional education or process support.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for complex coding, documentation, compliance, and operational questions.

Help shape the future of Enterprise Coding:

  • Work with Enterprise Coding leadership to set priorities and move department initiatives forward.
  • Improve workflows, resource planning, and operational performance across assigned areas.
  • Review quality, productivity, audit, and operational data to spot trends, understand challenges, and guide decisions.
