Core Job Functions:
- Triages new patient appointments to the appropriate provider(s)
- Reviews outside medical records for appropriate scheduling
- Counsels individuals and patients on positive health practices.
Core Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Skill in collecting, organizing and analyzing data
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office) and Electronic Medical Record system(s)
Department Specific Functions:
- Assesses patient needs upon initial encounter
- Facilitates timely scheduling of appointments, diagnostic testing, and procedures
- Orients and educates patients, families, and caregivers to the cancer healthcare system
