Job Description

This role provides advanced technical support for users at SWPC, serving as the primary resolution point for complex IT issues beyond user-reported incident support, ensuring secure, reliable, and effective troubleshooting. The technician performs Windows Systems Administration tasks and supports operational continuity for the 24/7 forecast mission. The position ensures secure, reliable, and responsive IT support across SWPC’s desktop computing environment and assists with IT infrastructure initiatives. The incumbent manages tasks from a Help Desk trouble-ticketing system, administering email and endpoint encryption platforms, and supporting inventory and compliance requirements. This involves identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving user-reported technical problems, performing advanced user account management, and executing system patching and configuration management. The position provides user training, supports networked audio/visual systems, and assists senior system administrators with network troubleshooting.
