Staff Solutions Engineer

Role Overview:

• As a Staff Solutions Engineer, you will provide technical pre-sales support for radio communications system opportunities in Public Safety, Industrial, Transportation, and Utility markets.
• You will serve as the trusted technical advisor for Eastern's Dealer Channel, partnering with Regional Channel Managers to develop winning technical strategies.
• You will be part of a fast-paced, growing company with opportunities to expand your knowledge across mission critical communications technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Partner with Regional Channel Managers to develop technical sales strategies and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution workshops.
• Design integrated solutions using P25, DMR, LTE/FirstNet, microwave, dispatch consoles, IP networking, and related technologies.
• Perform RF propagation studies, develop quotations, Bills of Material, system drawings, and provide technical support for RFP responses.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and 5+ years in a pre-sales or system engineering role.
• Proven experience in customer-facing technical pre-sales support and solution design through direct customer and Dealer engagements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing mission-critical communications systems using P25 and DMR conventional and trunked radio systems, microwave backhaul, and dispatch console platforms.
• Experience with engineering software for RF propagation modeling, in-building wireless design, and microwave path analysis.
• Experience using AI productivity tools to improve engineering, proposal development, and workflow efficiency.
