About the Job:
- The Compliance Experiences team sits at the heart of the Twilio platform, owning Phone Numbers and Compliance (KYC) domains.
- As a Principal Engineer (P5), you will own the technical strategy for a platform processing millions of requests globally.
- You will be expected to pioneer AI-driven development workflows to collapse the distance between an idea and a production feature.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architecture and roadmap, transitioning legacy systems to a modern microservices architecture.
- Accelerate with AI by using coding assistants to automate boilerplate, generate tests, and prototype rapidly.
- Drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and ruthlessly prioritize technical risks.
Qualifications:
- 16+ years of experience designing highly available, secure, cloud-native distributed systems.
- Expert proficiency in Java or Go, with deep knowledge of AWS ecosystems (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka).
- Demonstrated AI-native workflow experience using LLMs for architectural brainstorming and code synthesis.
