The Role:

  • Travel to remote CBP sites to install, refresh, and repair infrastructure and end-user equipment.
  • Serve as the sole on-site representative, making decisions when documentation is outdated or conditions change.
  • Coordinate with engineering and site teams to ensure deployments are completed without disrupting operations.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Leave each site fully operational, with verified functionality and a site contact who can operate the equipment.
  • Make the right call on-site when plans fail, adapting or escalating based on actual conditions.
  • Document as-built records and share lessons learned to benefit future deployments.

What You Bring:

  • Experience deploying equipment at unfamiliar sites, often working alone and far from support.
  • Proficiency across networking hardware, end-user equipment, and cabling, with certifications like Network+ or CCNA helpful.
  • Active CBP BI or another DHS clearance preferred, but not required for start.

Working Conditions:

  • Extensive travel, up to 90-95%, often to remote and austere locations.
  • Work involves handling equipment, working at height, and potentially non-standard hours.
  • Physical demands and site conditions require adaptability and self-sufficiency.
