Senior Counsel - Real Estate

About the Role:

• This role is central to our growth, overseeing real estate due diligence for project acquisitions and dispositions.
• The Senior Legal Counsel will be a trusted advisor to business units on land acquisition and divestiture efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage legal aspects of project development, focusing on land leases and real estate due diligence.
• Draft, negotiate, and review complex real estate agreements for solar, storage, and wind projects.
• Advise on legal matters for project development, operations, and asset optimization.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active bar admission, preferably in Texas or California.
• Typically 10 years of real estate legal experience, with renewable energy experience a plus.
• Deep understanding of real estate, title, survey, leasing, and M&A transactions.
