Responsibilities:
- Manage the technical staff and workload within the Sidewalk Shed and Construction Progress Monitoring Unit.
- Train newly hired plan examiners.
- Evaluate performance of plan examiners and spot check objection sheets for Quality Control.
Plan Review:
- Examine plans, designs, and construction documents for compliance with NYC Construction Codes.
- Review FISP compliance reports and other local law related filings.
- Prepare a list of objections in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Additional Duties:
- Provide interpretations of the NYC Construction Codes.
- Assist with data analysis and determining trends related to sidewalk sheds.
- Respond to field emergencies and provide technical advice to management.
