Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end Authorization process, including notification, entry, submission, follow-up, and determination.
  • Maintain detailed documentation in EMR and internal systems, and verify patient eligibility and benefits.
  • Act as liaison between hospital staff and health payers, tracking pending authorizations and escalating issues.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in healthcare administration preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in hospital billing, follow-up, or authorization.
  • Knowledge of managed care contracts and experience with customer support and issue resolution.
