Head of Business Operations & Finance

The Head of Business Operations & Finance will own the financial strategy and analysis that underpins key business decisions at Mux. You will develop a rigorous understanding of the drivers behind our operating model, manage business performance, and influence investment decisions. This role demands a hands-on leader ready to drive high-impact cross-functional projects—from pricing changes to marketing spend initiatives to M&A. You will own end-to-end financial planning processes, forecasts and financial models. You will also partner with functional leaders on strategic initiatives to help them achieve their operational goals. You will lead a team that includes business operations, accounting, and deal desk, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency across the team’s workflows using AI tools and best practices. Responsibilities include developing multi-year financial plans, partnering with executive leadership, overseeing financial performance analysis, developing models for evaluating investment opportunities, identifying financial risks, and implementing best practices in financial planning processes. Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA is highly preferred; minimum of 8-10 years of finance experience; experience in a high-growth technology company; deep experience with SaaS business models and enterprise sales; familiarity with AI tools; and strong analytical and communication skills.
