This role offers the opportunity to directly impact millions of customers' access to credit by building underwriting frameworks. You will be a member of a small team with the big responsibility of continuously improving M-KOPA’s loan offers and eligibility criteria in order to drive growth while managing credit losses and margins. You'll work cross-functionally with engineers, data scientists, other analysts, growth managers, and commercial stakeholders across multiple countries.

Design, build, and manage data warehouse to serve as the single source of truth for the organization. Develop and deploy low-latency, real-time data streaming pipelines. Enable self-service analytics by building clean, well-documented, and trusted datasets. Establish and follow data governance and security best practices. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging data analysis tools and techniques.

Lead the design and evolution of our data platform from architecture to production with a focus on reliability, cost, and scale. Drive decisions on data stack and platform standards across teams. Build and optimize high-performance data services and pipelines (batch and streaming) for large-scale workloads. Own production operations for file- and event-based systems. Reduce technical debt and simplify systems with clean interfaces and clear patterns.

You will join Experian's R&D Lab, developing analytical solutions by applying new technologies, including Quantum Computing. Apply ML, data mining, or text mining techniques to extract data insights and solve complex business issues. Design data structures and storage schemes for efficient handling. Explore and improve the application of Quantum Computing for fraud detection, digital marketing and finance forecasting. Conduct Return on investment and benefit analysis. Document and present model process and model performance.
