As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA, offering a dynamic work environment. You will be joining the Data Platform Group, in the Infrastructure Super Group at Canva. Role involves design and implementation of a declarative infrastructure management framework for Canva’s data platform (Snowflake and AWS) to enable self-service data pipeline and analytics development, automated governance for data platform across all data workloads, and improving development practices.

This role will be responsible for the data architecture, data pipelines, data operations, and platform management of the data lake and enterprise data warehouse currently under development. This role will build the data transformation pipelines to materialize the data model, configure and automate the orchestration of the pipelines to provide seamless execution and collaborate with BI Engineers to ensure our business stakeholders’ needs are met as they consume data from within the BI platform.

Construct the data architecture and implement solutions to meet Finalis' needs and requirements. Develop and optimize data pipelines to ingest into Snowflake, ensuring efficient and accurate data flow. Monitor and maintain users and pipelines, ensuring data integrity and system performance. Collaborate with analysts to capture business requirements and build an enterprise data model. Drive the implementation of data governance, architecture, and negotiation skills. Work with the BI Lead to align with long-term goals and deliver quick wins for added value.

Assist in data modeling and analysis, having a data-driven, business-oriented mindset in data analytics, including mining, cleansing, and visualization to transform data into goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. Work closely with leaders across care, marketing, product, sales, engineering and IT to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions.

Lead and scale our data engineering organization as a Senior Manager of Data Engineering. As a Senior Snowflake Consultant, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions using Snowflake's cloud data platform. You will have a dual responsibility of being hands-on with technical tasks while also managing a team of Snowflake developers. Your role will involve overseeing the development of data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and leading your team to deliver high-quality data solutions.
