We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to Maintain & Evolve one of the largests city councils cloud hosting platform which hosts ~1000 PHP deployments. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices. This role requires strong collaboration to drive cloud adoption and optimization.

As an SRE II at Allegiant, this role plays a vital part in the design, maintenance, and performance of all production on-premises and cloud-based systems, participating in Allegiant’s cloud transformation efforts to ensure systems and applications remain highly resilient while adding cloud native functionality to achieve long term scalability and stability.

As a Cloud Engineer II (CEII) you will provide engineering and transformation expertise to modernize the environment, being responsible for solutions design of the modernization cloud environment. Working with a team to plan, review requirements, design, and develop the most optimal and secure cloud-based solutions. The engineer must stay current with best practices, industry standards, and make recommendations as needed.

The DevOps Engineer will provide technical guidance and DevOps consulting to enterprise class customers and their development and operations teams. The engineer will lead proof of concept and pilot implementations of the platform within key customer accounts. They will also present platform strategy, concepts, and roadmap to technical leaders. They will design and implement best practices around troubleshooting application issues, CICD, logging, monitoring, security and capacity analysis for Kubernetes rich environment.

Contribute to the Platform team vision and own the Platform streaming and the broader Event Driven Architecture vision & strategy. Design and build scalable & reliable event driven systems with other senior platform engineers that are used by product engineering teams. Manage a team of 6 very senior engineers and ensure that the team delivers impact that affects the entire company.

Administer and support critical cloud environments in Azure and AWS. Manage and optimize EKS infrastructure for high-security deployments. Coordinate deployments, improve CI/CD pipelines, and automate routine tasks. Monitor infrastructure performance and implement optimizations, including cost management. Manage access controls, oversee onboarding/offboarding processes, and conduct periodic access reviews. Collaborate with Engineering to address architectural security weaknesses.

Lead a team of solution architects and implementation engineers, driving customer value in the Chronosphere platform. Assist sales and customer success teams in pre- and post-sales stages, solving customer use cases with hands-on advisory and implementation.

The Associate Director, Hosting Operations reports to the Sr. Director of Hosting Operations and is responsible for endpoint’s client-facing systems and applications including leading systems engineering & operations with both On Premise IT and Cloud Operations staff. The Associate Director will lead both the SDLC and HDLC to build & operate new systems, features, upgrades, tools, and applications, leading the team in support for both On Prem and Cloud client-facing applications and related needs. The Associate Director, Hosting Operations is also responsible for driving key strategic initiatives as well as budget and vendor management.
