As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Team, you’ll play a key role in shaping the foundation of AI at Hummingbird. You’ll design and deliver customer-facing AI features that make complex work more intuitive and efficient, like our context-aware AI Assistant and Auto Triage Agent. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineers to bring ideas to life—from prototyping to production.

As a transpiler engineer, you will help build the foundations of a system that turns source code into human language. The Driver Transpiler blends traditional compiler elements with LLM content generation to generate exhaustive, structured documentation of software. This architecture fuses traditional compiler-like static analysis and data structures with highly structured use of large language models (LLMs).

As a Staff Backend Software Developer, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of developers, designers, data scientists, and business professionals, working on the Varicent Incentives. You would be working on a single-page web application utilizing React and Redux frameworks that connects to a REST API written in C#, hosted in AWS.

As a senior machine learning engineer, you will work on the latest tools, frameworks and offerings while also being involved in enabling credible and collaborative problem solving to execute on a strategy. You will contribute to design and drive the development of robust scalable architectures and infrastructure for deploying and managing machine learning (ML) applications, ensuring high availability, performance and security. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to translate business needs into effective and efficient ML systems and applications. You will own the development and maintenance of core functionalities within ML applications.

In this role, you will define and deliver the long-term AI platform strategy, aligning technical direction with Canva’s broader product and AI research vision. You will also define and deliver the next-generation AI platform, transforming how AI is developed, evaluated, and deployed at global scale.
