Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Continuous Delivery)

Responsibilities:

• Own and deliver quarterly team goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems and ensuring team support throughout delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics by participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and partnering on risk-aware decisions.
• Proactively identify and lead solutions for project, process, technology, or business issues, advocating for necessary changes.
• Support team artifacts' operations and availability by creating metrics, monitoring systems, and participating in on-call efforts.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record with highly available distributed systems using technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience building or evolving CI/CD, deployment, or release automation systems to reduce manual toil and improve rollout predictability.
• Comfort working on shared developer infrastructure, defining clear platform interfaces, templates, or guardrails for product teams.
• Proficiency in making significant changes in large codebases safely and developing tools and practices for team efficiency.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual base pay range is $150,000 - $200,000 CAD, with employees typically starting at the range's beginning.
