Job Description

The Benefits & Payroll Manager is responsible for end-to-end management of payroll and benefits across multiple countries, with a core focus on the United States and Canada. You'll be the subject matter expert on payroll compliance, tax regulations, and benefits administration. You’ll partner closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely, accurate execution and an excellent employee experience. Key responsibilities include payroll management, benefits administration, compliance & reporting, and process improvement & documentation. The manager is expected to own and run semi-monthly and biweekly payroll cycles in the US and Canada and ensure compliance with all local, state/provincial, and federal tax laws and reporting requirements. Evaluate and recommend benefit enhancements to improve employee satisfaction and retention, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment and tax regulations in the US and Canada. This role requires 7+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration with at least 4 years focused on US and Canadian payroll and tax compliance. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of US and Canadian labor laws, taxation rules, and benefits standard processes, and be proficient in payroll systems and HRIS platforms (Dayforce experience a strong plus).
