Talent Engineer

THE ROLE:

• You are a senior, principal level individual contributor who owns the entire recruiting cycle and client relationship.
• You think like an operator, equally comfortable in strategy conversations with a CTO and building innovative sourcing lists.
• This role is fully remote but requires 4-5 hours of overlap within the 9-6pm PT timezone.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN:

• Client Partnership & Strategy: Take full ownership of client relationships, design hiring plans, and provide market intelligence.
• Search Execution: Run full-cycle searches across Engineering and adjacent technical functions, sourcing and closing candidates.
• Building & Optimization: Engineer your workflow with AI tools and conduct A/B tests to improve processes.
• Data & Judgment: Track pipeline health and use data to drive decisions with clients.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Track Record: Independently managed full-cycle technical searches and earned trust of CTOs or VPs of Engineering.
• Range: Comfortable handling all aspects of the job—sourcing, screening, client strategy, and interview design.
• Builder's Mindset: Built or improved workflows, tools, or processes, and find satisfaction in automation.
• AI Fluency: Use Claude or comparable tools daily as working partners for research, drafting, and analysis.
• Creative Problem Solving: Proactively test alternative solutions when common approaches don't work.
• Judgment: Clearly articulate what distinguishes strong from exceptional candidates.
• Communication: Write job descriptions, brief founders, coach hiring managers, and craft effective outreach.
• Autonomy: Manage your own schedule, handle multiple clients and searches, and make sound decisions independently.
