Responsibilities:

  • Process Community Care consult intake, conduct outreach to Veterans and providers, schedule appointments, document actions, and escalate issues per VHA directives and SOPs.
  • Maintain appointment schedules, use Electronic Waiting List accurately, and schedule appointments with patient input.
  • Review active and pending consults, Electronic Wait List, Recall list, and Audio Care communications for accuracy and disposition.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; one year of specialized experience collaborating with medical clinicians and scheduling interdisciplinary appointments.
  • US citizenship; ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare scheduling processes, and ability to use CPRS or EHR Modernization.
