Job Summary:

  • Provide essential day-to-day operational leadership and subject matter expertise for a team of CDI specialists.
  • Serve as a vital clinical and coding resource, offering guidance and support to ensure documentation accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with performance oversight, ensuring CDI specialists meet high standards and contribute to revenue cycle optimization.
  • Foster collaboration across multidisciplinary stakeholders, enhancing communication and synergy in achieving accurate clinical documentation.
  • Actively participate in CDI tasks as a hands-on, working lead.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in nursing, HIM, or related field; current CDI or coding certification such as CCDS, CDIP, or CCS.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent CDI experience in an acute care hospital or large healthcare system.
  • Demonstrated expertise in DRG methodology, SOI/ROM, and quality indicators.
