Job Description

Square is seeking a Territory Account Executive to become an integral part of its newly established field sales organization. The primary objective is to deliver a localized experience to Square Sellers—our valued customers and merchants—through genuine and relevant engagement. This role embodies Square’s mission of economic empowerment by establishing a tangible local presence. As an individual contributor in sales, you'll engage with restaurants, retailers, and service-based businesses, particularly within Square's key markets, to champion market share growth in your designated city. This role demands a dynamic hunter mentality and on-the-ground approach, requiring a strategic vision and plan to secure market presence for Square. You will collaborate proactively, developing strategies to build a quality top-of-funnel lead pipeline, nurture referrals, connect with local partners, and engage in community events. Your efforts will contribute to fostering new business opportunities, fueling growth, and enhancing Square’s brand awareness within the city. The expectations entail mastery of selling in-person within your designated market, dedicating approximately 80% of your time to face-to-face interactions. This involves proactive lead generation, conducting insightful discovery sessions and compelling demos, and closing mutually beneficial deals within Square’s comprehensive ecosystem.
