Senior Manager, Networking

About the Role:

• This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on designing and evolving Oportun’s enterprise networking capabilities.
• You will manage and develop a team of network engineers while staying deeply engaged in architecture and engineering decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the technical roadmap for enterprise networking and drive modernization through cloud networking, Zero Trust, and automation.
• Establish engineering standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns that improve consistency, resiliency, and security.
• Lead technical design reviews, vendor evaluations, and complex troubleshooting for high-impact incidents.

What You'll Bring:

• Deep expertise in routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, cloud networking, and network automation.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills to influence decisions across teams.
• Experience with tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, and observability platforms.
