Chief of Staff to the CTO

Role Overview:

• As Chief of Staff to the CTO, you will run the operating system of the engineering organization: leadership cadence, OKR and QBR cycles, and cross-team coordination.
• You drive decision-making by turning ownerless initiatives into clearly owned projects and handing them off.
• You do not hold line authority but work through process and influence, ensuring nothing stalls or gets lost.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the engineering leadership rhythm: agenda, documented decisions, and follow-through for director-level syncs.
• Drive the quarterly OKR and QBR cycle, chasing updates and preparing reviews.
• Scan for stalled or ownerless cross-team work, bring it back on track, and hand off to a named owner.
• Turn complex organizational and project inputs into concise, decision-ready material for the CTO, exec team, and board.
• Standardize engineering planning, tracking, and communication rituals across the org.

Requirements:

• Track record as a TPM lead, head of engineering operations, or similar role running cadence and cross-team coordination at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to drive ambiguous, multi-team initiatives through influence without authority.
• Strong executive synthesis skills, turning raw information into brief, actionable materials.
• Operating discipline to build durable systems and follow-up loops.
• Fluency in English (C1+) and Russian for technical communications.
• Nice to have: Prior Chief of Staff or Engineering Operations role, procurement experience, familiarity with Node.js, React, Kafka, and compliance standards.
