Key Responsibilities:
- Review outpatient, physician, and emergency-room records to identify diagnoses and procedures.
- Assign principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures per UHDDS and client requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, Coding Clinic, and official guidelines.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience coding professional-fee and facility general surgery charts.
- Active certification such as CPC, COC, CIC, CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and coding guidelines.
