Authorization Coordinator

Job Summary:

• Reporting to the Authorization Assistant Manager, this role provides financial clearance for scheduled services.
• Serves as a resource on complex referral and authorization issues for problem resolution.
• Advises on authorization questions and models high-quality customer service.

Essential Functions:

• Act as a patient and family advocate between providers and payers.
• Collaborate with providers and staff to obtain referrals and authorizations.
• Track authorization status, follow up on denials, and prioritize urgent cases.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of directly-related experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and managed care.

Additional Information:

• Pay range: $34.06 to $42.57 per hour.
• Remote eligible with benefits.
