Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule clinic appointments and ancillary procedures, make reminder calls, and prepare medical history for new patients.
- Process incoming mail and faxes, verify patient insurance and financial status, and obtain prior authorizations.
- Provide high-quality customer service to both external and internal customers, resolving issues promptly.
Required Qualifications:
- Six months of medical office experience or one year of high-volume public contact, plus computer proficiency and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation with ability to handle confrontational interactions.
- Basic keyboarding (30-45 wpm) and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and office equipment.
