Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule clinic appointments and ancillary procedures, make reminder calls, and prepare medical history for new patients.
  • Process incoming mail and faxes, verify patient insurance and financial status, and obtain prior authorizations.
  • Provide high-quality customer service to both external and internal customers, resolving issues promptly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Six months of medical office experience or one year of high-volume public contact, plus computer proficiency and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation with ability to handle confrontational interactions.
  • Basic keyboarding (30-45 wpm) and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and office equipment.
