Position Overview:
- Responsible for charge capture and coding of professional charges within the healthcare system.
- Assigns codes using CMS and facility guidelines.
- Works with central billing team to ensure timely charge entry.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Health Record Technology or related field with 2+ years coding experience, plus CPC/RHIT/RHIA certification.
- Alternatively, 3+ years coding experience with certification, or 4-5 years experience with certification obtained within 18 months.
- Pulmonary coding experience preferred.
Work Environment:
- Fully remote position.
- Eligible for $5,000 sign-on bonus.
- Requires vaccination for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and annual flu shot or approved exemption.
