Product Counsel

Responsibilities:

• Provide practical legal advice and counseling on a full range of product-related issues that arise domestically and internationally.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering and Strategy teams through the entire product lifecycle to identify issues, recommend practical solutions, and assist cross-functional efforts to achieve go-to-market goals.

AI and Compliance:

• Serve as a legal advisor on AI matters, including advising on AI policies, liability, licensing, responsible AI development, deployment, and risk assessments.
• Develop and enhance processes designed to ensure ongoing product compliance with global laws and regulations, including global privacy laws, data security, export control and trade compliance.

Contracts and IP:

• Negotiate inbound and outbound license agreements and participate in the company's open-source review process.
• Contribute to the company’s IP strategy and product roadmap, including management of patent and trademark portfolios and IP enforcement activities.

Team and Culture:

• Serve as a subject matter expert on our products for the Contracts and Legal teams and assist with contract negotiations.
• Support the company's incident response program and respond to security events.
• Collaborate with a diverse and inclusive team, with 5 days of volunteer time off to give back to communities.
